Create New MF20.DSN

How to create new MF20.DSN on your Citrix XenDesktop environment.

Database info -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\mf20.dsn

[ODBC]

DRIVER=SQL Server

UID=YourUsername

DATABASE=MF20

WSID=YourHostName

APP=Citrix IMA

Trusted_Connection=Yes

SERVER=(local)\CITRIX_METAFRAME

1. Shift+rightClick on Data Sources (ODBC) and select Run as different user.

2. Windows Security prompt for Username and Password. Please enter credentials to use for C:\Windows\system32\odbcad32.exe.

3. Use a domain account with password never expire. Account must be part of host’s administrators group.

4. ODBC -> File DSN -> Look in directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture. Set Directory.

5. Add… SQL Server -> type name mf20Test.dsn -> finish

6. mf20Test.dsn -> Configure… -> server: (local)\CITRIX_METAFRAME -> next, use Windows NT authentication using the network login ID.

-> next, check Change the default database to MF20 -> next then finish.

7. at the command prompt

>C:\>dsmaint config /user:Newuser /pwd:newpassword /dsn:”C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\mf20Test.dsn”

>dsmaint recreatelhc

IMA service will restart automatic
